ZD Alimentos’ story began in 1976, in Marília, in the interior of São Paulo, with the founding of Bel Produtos Alimentícios Ltda. by Paulo Sérgio Zaparolli Dedemo. The start was marked by the production of sweets that became part of the memory of many Brazilian families, such as peanuts, pé de moleque and sweet popcorn.
With an entrepreneurial vision and a focus on growth, the company expanded its operations over the years, entering new categories and strengthening its market presence. The evolution of the portfolio and production structure consolidated Bel as a reference in the Candies & Snacks segment and paved the way for a new phase of expansion.
In 2009, the company took a strategic step with the acquisition of Hércules, expanding its operations into the dairy segment. In 2015, in line with business expansion and the incorporation of new brands, it adopted the corporate name ZD Alimentos S.A., reflecting a broader, integrated structure prepared for new growth cycles.
In the same evolution movement, the company incorporated Diatt, a pioneer in diet chocolates in Brazil, strengthened Cobertop as a brand focused on the confectionery market and expanded its portfolio with Pop Up, focused on ready-to-eat popcorn. Together with Golden, these brands today make up a diversified portfolio serving different consumer profiles and market channels.
Today, ZD Alimentos brings together the brands Bel, Cobertop, Diatt, Golden, Hércules and Pop Up, maintaining operations guided by quality, innovation, governance and a long-term vision. A 100% Brazilian company that keeps growing without giving up the entrepreneurial essence that originated its story.
